So you want to adopt a dog?

Great! We suggest you first contact your local animal control and see what they have available! They usually have a large selection and most are spayed or neutered. Many are housetrained! If you see a Last Chance dog you want to adopt on Petfinder, the first step is to download our adoption request form (Word format) (PDF format). Cats available for adoption are on display at local PetSmart Luv-A-Pet Centers in the Washington D.C. area. We have many different breeds and ages available.
